The UPCAT is the entrance examination administered by the University of the Philippines Office of Admissions for applicants to undergraduate degree programmes. It has four subtests: Language Proficiency, Reading Comprehension, Science and Mathematics, with Language Proficiency and Reading Comprehension each set in both English and Filipino. UP combines the standardised UPCAT score with a composite of Grades 8 to 11 final grades to produce the admission score, and also weighs socioeconomic and geographic factors.
